Description

A doodle I did to test out traditional speedpaints, but also a little alien dude I saw in my dreams. To be honest, I dreamed this kiddo up a week or so ago, and in my dream he was yellow and orange with red accents, not grey with blue and green, but to heck with that, this looks cool.

I also came up with species information, since I'm a nerd who does little else than think my day away.

Galestarhh-Oro, also known as Goro, Star, or just Gale (GAHL-eh), is a species of quadrupeds found in deep space. The species name is hard to pronounce with a human tongue, but the accepted human name is Hrak. He is still in adolescence, and will grow to be at least a foot taller, and his wing spires will grow to be more impressive, thus more likely to attract mates.

Yes, his species are genetically quadrupeds, but a millennia ago, while his kind was still evolving, a form of polymelia arose, a new pair of legs growing from their long necks, this time much skinnier and much more opposable. Instead of it dying out and bred away, it became desirable and a feature of beauty. Now it is quite uncommon, but not unheard of, for a Hrak to be born without the extra arms; they will be seen as disabled, though.

One of the most unique features of Hraks is that they can materialize wings out of the spires on their backs, and seemingly not by conventional biological means. It's a feature that's been with them as long as they have recorded history, fossil data stating even further, but it baffles human scientists on how it's possible. The wings "inflate" from the inside of the spires with a great colored glow. The glow color varies with the individual. When "deflated," it's even more curious, as the former strong bones and sturdy flight membranes are as consistent as soup, evenly distributed throughout the entire body until the Hrak is ready to use them again. What they have to realize is, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter what humans think is possible; just one species in an ever-expanding universe and their compliment alternate universes. Things are going to be possible, whether they like it or not.

Sorry 'bout that last part, kinda got poetic there. I do believe in the multiple universes theory, as it is fun to implement into stories, but it also makes so much sense in my mind. Now I'm just waiting for the day where we can reach into these alternate universes.

And now for the thing that I drew this whole thing for: Watch me draw, people
